The loading dock is located at the back of Tower 1 and accessible from Kingsway Street, Westbound; or from Boundary Road at Vanness Street. There is one (1) main bay in the Loading Dock with a dock leveler and four (4) additional bays at grade level. The Loading Dock can accommodate tractor-trailers or any vehicle up to 50 feet long x 19 feet high x 16 feet wide.

The loading dock and mail services are subcontracted to Novitex Enterprise Solutions. Please do not attempt to use any of the equipment on the loading dock yourself; contact a Novitex representative.

We provide full service at the Loading Dock Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Just arrange for delivery with the company of your choice and we will assist you. Remember, if you require the delivery company to bring items to your floor via the freight elevator, you are required to pre-authorize them through our Work Authorization Permit process explained in the Work Authorization Permit section of this site.

If the Loading Dock is required after normal hours you are requested to contact the H&R Property Management Office at least 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled event. A security guard is required in attendance while the dock door(s) are open (4 hour minimum).

Never leave items or Vehicles in the Loading Dock overnight. Remember: Do not park vehicles or leave vehicles running in the Loading Dock. There is a 30 minute maximum stay for all vehicles on the loading dock unless prior arrangements have been made. Load or unload and remove the vehicle or it will be towed. Please check in at the Mail Room in the loading dock if the Dockmaster is not present. If you arrive after normal dock business hours, check in with the Security Desk on the 5th Floor, Kingsway St. entrance.

TELUS contracts to Novitex directly for their mail services. Couriers are not permitted in any elevators and should bring their items to the Mail Room in order that Novitex can deliver to your floor.

Novitex can provide one-stop-service for your outgoing courier deliveries. Contact Novitex at 604 659 1034 and they will pick up your courier package and arrange delivery through their preferred rate vendors. There will be a direct fee attached for this service.

There is one service (freight) elevator in the Brian Canfield Center. We do not reserve this elevator during normal business hours. The service elevator runs on a first come first served basis from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday– Friday. To allow fair access to all customers, the service elevator is usually only available during normal business hours for moves which can be completed in one run.

To ensure efficient use of the service elevator, it is to be used for transporting large items eg. goods for cafeteria; furniture & equipment to specified floors. The service elevator is not to be used for passenger traffic. Carts and dollies are not to be used in the passenger elevators.

Larger moves must be completed after hours. To ensure a smooth move, we suggest that you advise H&R at least two weeks in advance of scheduling a large move, A minimum of 24 hour notice is required.
